My professional therapy practice draws from Western and non-Western modalities, focusing on a holistic model of wellness that balances the mind, body, and spirit, honoring the interconnectedness of all aspects of an individual from an empowerment, strengths-based focus. I utilize the tools of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), compassion-focused therapy, mindfulness/meditation/guided meditation, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy in working with clients. Additionally, I have worked with clients using the tools of CBT for chronic pain management, and healing through creative expression found in art therapy. I assist clients in exploring the power and impact of the mind on thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, habits and understanding their wellness from a holistic approach. I support clients in identifying ways to harness their emotions/reactions to be constructive and not destructive, thus empowering them with awareness and greater understanding of themselves as the unique individuals they are. My approach to client care involves collaborating closely with the client’s unique needs and experiences within a safe, non-judgmental space so that the client can get the most out of their therapeutic sessions. I view clients as the true experts in their lives, and my role as a mental health therapist is to serve as a guide in the process of their recovery and discovery

Reiki is a wonderfully powerful energy healing that activates your own recovery potential, as well as relieves stress, anxiety, and general discomforts. Originating from Japan, Reiki has been shown to provide a number of benefits to the recipient. Tetana is a certified Reiki practitioner trained in the tradition of Master Mikao Usui. At your first appointment, Tetana will complete a consultation of your wellness issues, and then the reiki session takes place, either in person or via long distance. Sound therapy has been known to provide a number of pleasant benefits including: *Increased relaxation responses *Facilitates clearing of energetic blockages *Boosts health and wellbeing *Supports overall mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing Your sound session will begin with an initial consultation with Tetana, and then various tuning forks, chimes, and/or singing bowls will be activated in a way that addresses your issues or simply for pure relaxation! Sound therapy is a great way to activate the relaxation response, to activate energies in our bodies, and sooth a stressed system.

Experience the power of a crystal gemstone healing with Tetana! The Crystal kingdom holds ancient ancestral energies that are unique to each type of gemstone. These potent energies can be utilized in this unique healing session, where Tetana will assess your concerns, and then determine which gems need to work with you that are appropriate for your issues. What's next? You will then relax on a massage table, and the gems will be placed upon areas of your body to begin working their magical properties for a set duration of 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your needs. As you relax, soothing music will be playing to add to the session. Following completion of the session, you will receive input into any further activities you can do to take care of yourself after each session, including identifying gemstones that you can attain to enhance your continued recovery experience.
